Where were the guards, I’ve worked in correctional facilities before. There should never be this amount of time without a guard present or response team called. I don’t know what that dude did but he earned some crazy amount of hatred from the other inmates.

the inmate was a schizophrenic and more than likely pissed someone off. So they dumped him in one of he worst tiers in the facility. They probably labelled him a troublemaker and thought they would teach him a lesson.
