The Roots played NY State Of Mind while Jigger rapped his Takeover verse in that MTV Unplugged shyt, I think thats another reason Nas called them out

that isht was disrespectful. also, as much as i like black thought, questlove needs to be disrespected by nas. ol pretentious black nerd ass ninja. people mad at nas, he took it easy on those clowns after they sided with camel and thought they were ending a career. nas should have included them in ether. black thought still a legend though.

The roots playing "oochie wally" and "Ny state of mind" while Jay spitting takover verses when everybody Nas career was over is very disrepectful.

Nas also dissed the roots because of this video where they were mocking mainstream rappers:

The idea of Black Thought slapping Nas in 2002! :what:

Black Though left out the unplugged peformance behind Jay. (Roots and Jaguar Wright)

I always mainly thought that was the reason Nas went off

Second video is out on complex. Black Thought talks about the posse cuts him and ?uestlove would make where Thought would impersonate all his favorite rappers. This would eventually would lead to the making of "Boom." He also talks about the Greatest Day in Hip-Hop History shoot where Rakim gave him props. He also spits his verse from Bird's Eye View.
