I took it a different way. I see it as jay gave this clown a simple task to do and free money and he still failed to get the job done. Jay dont care about the details of he deal and didnt have time to hold dudes hand. If they wanted 13 million then CK should have came up with a different business proposal for jay within the 10 million budget. Thats all jay was sayin. He wasnt trying to be dudes friend.. he was just looking out for him cause he felt he owed him that.

Take the blow to the ego (which wasn't really anything anyway), come up with a diff proposal or biz develop opportunity, get your money up with Jay's seed investment, and if you really felt some type of way about it, do something about it when you're sitting on multimillions.

Even in today's inflated VC world, 10 mil investment is fukking massive. That''s round A without any track record. A $10mil round A funding will get you in WSJ, FT, and TechCrunch.
He's supposed to be a legendary hustler and Jay fronted you with fukking 10 mil - you gotta find a way to flip that. Fukk it buy some burger franchises or whatever at least. He might be a "proud, stand-up guy" but he's still a dumbass.
