Genius has been working with MTV to unearth some visual gems from their extensive vaults of content and today we get a real treat. Here’s Killa’s first ever sit-down with the network, back in 1998 during the Confessions of Fire era. He speaks on getting kicked out of school in Texas, rapping for Biggie after an introduction from Ma$e, inking his deal with Lance “Un” Rivera, working the mixtape circuit, mailing reels to Silkk The Shocker for the “Horse & Carriage (Remix)”, teaching his mom to rap for “Me, My Moms & Jimmy” and much more.

Very talented song writer

It's odd when you watch his interview then and think he matured into an imature man..

He doesn't come off as the type 40 year old man who would advocate spitting on children and wearing capes...

It's called "dumbing yourself down." This obviously happened to just about every artist in hip hop.

I tell nikkas all the time: if you check the interviews of rappers during the 90s, and check the new rap interviews... night and day. The 90s rappers were way more eloquent.
