Yeah, he needs to do some side experiments like the one he did IYRT. Refreshing project that was damn near perfect. He doesn't have the same charisma to get these track across anymore.

i think it has to do with the usual cycle of oversaturation and/or overexposure

every top artist has gone thru this, especially in hip hop ... hov "retired" when he did also draws back to this imo

drake has had an unprecedented run and like all his predecessors a lot of things that bought him to the table are now being somewhat of a detriment due to familiarity

that being said i do think discussing his subject matter or sound in a critical manner is a good thing (in reference to the other poster above) ... the listeners should be able to push artists to challenge themselves artistically imo
