2. Was this ever exposed as ghostwritten? :jbhmm:

3. Drake should remix a milli vanilli joint and lean into the fukkery :dead:

NO ghostwriter allegations that I can think of, but DRAM came out and said Aubrey bit this song of his:

And Drake tacitly admitted he did steal it:

You know, like in Jamaica, you’ll have a riddim and it’s like, everyone has to do a song on that. Imagine that in rap, or imagine that in R&B. Imagine if we got one beat and every single person—me, this guy, this guy, all these guys—had to do a song on that one beat. So sometimes I’ll pick a beat that’s a bit, like, sunnier, I guess is the word you used, than usual, and I just try my hand at it. And that’s kind of what ‘Hotline Bling’ was. And I loved it. It’s cool. I’ve been excited by that sort of creative process.

kind of interesting that the original sample itself is sorta of a bite. listen to why cant we live together (1972) by timmy thomas (the hotline bling sample), but sing the chorus of al greens lets stay together (1971) over it.:pachaha:

but then again can you really bite a chord progression?

as far as hotline bling, drake and nineteen85 are credited as writers, so you can draw your own conclusions there
