Im thinking more series than film due to the amount of story beats and content but..

Mafia 3
Cyberpunk 2077
Mass Effect

The latter two would have a lot of people complaining because their particular gender/choices/life paths weren't considered canon but they'd still be in front of the screen on day one.

As far as movies..

Alien: Isolation
Ghost of Tsushima
Telltale's The Walking Dead S1 could absolutely be a great film, too.

^ I think the way to deal with this is the way Fallout and Cyberpunk Edgerunners handled it, which is to do a brand new story, just set in the world of the game.

I also think that'd be the best way to handle a GTA or RDR movie/series.

I heard this random bit of trivia that I feel like fits this thread somewhat.

Steven Spielberg wanted to direct a Call of Duty movie, but Activision turned him down because he wanted too much creative control.

The irony of that is that Spielberg directed Saving Private Ryan. Saving Private Ryan directly inspired the Medal of Honor games, and the Medal of Honor games were a direct inspiration for the Call of Duty Games.

So, it's probably should have been a match made in heaven, but Actvision blew it.
