once you guys realize hot97 is a business owned by Viacom or whatever you will understand that they cant speak on quality of music. they are not in the business of playing quality music but in the business of getting paid.

radio is played out and i hate the idea that hip-hop to most of ya resides in popular radio and channels. Hip-hop was born and will die in the underground.

people still listen to radio to hear new music? :heh:

Exactly, I listen to the morning show on 97.9, Houston top Hip Hop station because they discuss some interesting topics. I don't go to the radio for my music. I listen to my own playlist when I'm in the car or ESPN radio.

If the artist they're playing are major leagues, why the album's sales equates to the worst batting average. :pachaha:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Exactly

You a rapper?

yup and that's why it's iffy.. i hear the same shyt from my crew.. "nikkas wanna hear you on that hard shyt" ok but these nikkas won't show up for a free show and definitely ain't gonna call the radio and request shyt. they can't play all that hard shyt on the radio either.. and really, unless the label calls for you, or 100k people are calling to demand you, good luck ever getting on the radio

so at some point you gotta make that choice.. white women buy the most albums, followed by white men, then black women, then black men.... are you gonna cater to the money, or cater to your people. and what is your plan when your people don't support you financially????

somewhere sean p knows this.. he keeps it hard.. those nikkas ain't helping him sell shyt or calling up hot 97 in an uproar.. i bet nobody from this thread ever even called up... so hot 97 don't care about you. or sean p. period.

now if sean p had a drake feature next week that all the little girls bought on itunes and called up to hot 97 to get play... suddenly he'd be up there getting interviewed and having his song spun 2039423094 times a day. such is the music game
