I didn’t take it that way. He said that’s what people think and Drake/Kdot are superstars in his eyes. I assumed he meant they’re bigger/more popular and have reached a level he’s not interested in. Hence the bars about feeling awkward at awards shows and such, insinuating he’s just a (great) rapper while the other guys focus on being pop stars.

I just don’t buy Cole thinking Drake is a better rapper. I won’t die on this hill though because most people clearly heard it like you did, and feel like he admitted what most of us feel: Cole is behind those two. But like…does the Coli think Cole is behind Drake? I doubt it.
