if you're paying for spotify premium it costs the same amount as Tidal's non Hi fi option.

I'm not looking at it as a "Hip Hop" thing because Tidal is a platform for more than Hip Hop music.

I doubt very seriously that the average consumer is factoring race into the equation when trying to decide if they should buy a Tidal subscription. You've had a million wins and you finally take a L, if race was really a factor like that then you wouldn't have had the million wins to begin with. This freestyle is more of what people didn't like when Tidal launched. Like we the public are suppose to feel sorry for millionaire artist and their money. Like Madonna's streaming royalty rate is suppose to motivate me to come out my damn pocket. FOH! Some of these stars is really out of touch with the common man, they need a reality check and I don't mean like Rich Dollaz.

Tidal would of gotten off to a bigger start had it actually been promoted and explained properly instead of them thinking they could just use their star power and the public would buy into it.

What you miss in all of this is that Tidal had admitted to launch mistakes, but he's talking about the media. Like his CEO said, "They never expected the media would fill in the blanks for them. They planned on doing numerous presentations to continue the roll out and keep the momentum." It was clearly their strategy to do that in the absence of a large corporate budget.
