I love how they're not even talking shyt players, they're naming all-stars.

I seen Curry, Rondo, Draymond, Nash...

Look, Nash guarded the greatest players in the world EVERY time he stepped onto the court. He struggled at times, but he still guarded them, and made them miss half the time.

And it's not just that these guys are more athletic than you (which they are). It's that they are 20x better and more experienced than you in EVERYTHING that happens on a basketball court. Their hands move quicker. Their steps are more decisive. They've played twenty times as much ball as you and seen far more than you ever have. They can sense which move you're starting before you've even fully committed to it. They will make moves on the court in a way that you never never faced.

Someone who spends 10,000 hours of their life perfecting something is going to be a completely different creature than someone who does it as a hobby.

It's like watching some chess grandmaster lose to the greatest player in the world, then say, "Look at how bad he lost. I could take him!" :mjlol:

Sorry, but Draymond would destroy you OFFENSIVELY, and Nash would rip your heart out with his defense. :yeshrug:
End Thread...
Im an old boxer and when muthafukaz is like "I could get in the ring with you"
Im like, "smh....you'd be fukking stupid if you did"...
I aint mayweather or pac... but this is something i was doing for countless hours, cosuming 80% of my life. I might look rusty against a experienced amateur or a decent pro on any given day...but even on a bad day... id make a regular joe quit in the 1st round.

Not quite as good as when Scalabrine cooked those 3 radio guys, but I don't think I could get tired of seeing regular people get cooked by NBA players.

all you had to do is check for his high school highlights. he was the truth back then. had all kinds of moves. he wasnt just some athletic dude that couldnt shoot.

with that said. Prime rapbeats could make him miss a shot and yes I would score on him at least once. standing 6'2. in my prime we're talking weighing in at 185 to a bucik 195. super strong for my thin look. I was use to playing guys that were much taller, bigger, and super athletic. Yes I've had the luxury of playing with and against D-1 bench no namers woul would give you that work, d-1 real dudes that seem unstoppable. High school all americans from awhile back that were super long, super athletic with moves and a jumper, a couple of current nba dudes, and a few old head ex nba ballers and bench warmers, oh and some overseas pros. a gang of d-2 dudes or dudes who played for premiere high schools in L.A.

what would happen to most people is that most people's lack of defense and defensive IQ would get you that L with the quickness. You have to be smart to play good defense on guys this skilled.

he would easily dominate a VAST majority of this forum. yet these dudes won't have trouble with legit all-stars and all americans :francis:.
lets start off how to defend this little dude. first off. he's doing a swing thru move thats super low. you have two choices. get as low as he is and hawk the ball with your hands. meaning. put your hands on both sides of the ball. where you know he has to come up one of those directions. if you do that. he wont swing thru. he will pivot and take a step back. when he does this. you step forward taking away more airspace. he will then try to push thru you to create space. dont get punked. he tries to push you but dont move. he will then go for a slight fake. dont move. it's like dancing. his feet will go where your feet are not planted. he will try to step around your foot so you can't recover. or step one way wait til your body starts leaning to catchup. then he will pull the ball back, space.....

once you realize thats all these guys are doing. you when then realize how to not give up that space. but if you have never really played serious defense in your life. take out a knife and fork, then hand it to the guy and get cooked.

Bro. The speed and sheer size of NBA players is obviously far greater than your average Joe. shyt even if you balled against D1 college nikkaz, you can tell the difference. I've played them cats, and it's a completely different level than random nikkaz at The rec center
My Fr year in HS when CP3 was a Jr....I called him out during lunch for 1 on 1 (backstory: I hit a growth spurt late..I was the short/funny/frail freshman) anyway, that nikka made me look so stupid when he crossed me :dead::russ::wow:

but I've balled w/ some lower tier D1 players and even they're next level compared to ya avg. Pros make them look like chumps :pachaha:

sitting courtside at an NBA game should be something every one of the "I can guard ..." folks should do

Dis ain't who I thought it was.

I am so geeked for jaylen hands to make the league.
Anything jaylen and basketball or sports I automatically assume is jaylen hands.

I can not wait for this kid, jaylen hands to make the league.

This is so true. I am a pretty good pickup defender and sometimes you play against D1 guys out there. I remember locking down this one 6'2-6'3 guy (I'm 6') not even knowing he was coasting on me using basic moves he didn't expect me to cover. Then he got mad and started doing up and under reverse layups. Nothing I could do.

I just looked at my team like, "I didn't know he had that move." :manny:

Dude I was guarding, "I didn't know I had to use it." :manny:

A little off topic but I hate when people call players bums. Like I get it in the heat of the moment someone misses a shot or drops a pass you yell out "what are you doing you bum?!"

But I remember one time I was at a bar and Freddie Mitchell was there and chopped it up with me and some people I knew there too...he leaves and they start poppin' off about how he is/was a bum and only known for one catch :mindblown: (4th and 26 for you Packer fans out there :myman:)

Im like dude whatever your job is you can never say you were in the top 100 in the world...further more do you understand the odds of making it pro? like you have to beast in high school beast in college then be better than all the best players in all the colleges in the nation to win your spot...then have to keep that spot year in and year out from other great younger players leaving college and other pros....yea he wasn't all-pro but no one that makes it to the league let alone start is a bum no matter how shytty a team is ...

no doubt. i mean people gotta understand this. these guys are getting paid millions to play a sport. how many of us have ever been paid to play a sport? we probably end up paying to play through various leagues rather than getting paid to play. "he's a bum" yet he cakin it off of playing a sport.

there are like 450 players in the NBA. about 1500 in the NFL. how many people are that exclusive/elite in what they do?

My boy Rodney is 6-7 350 and lives in orlando. He was in the gym and saw Dale Davis so he challenged him to a game.

Dale gave him the ball first so Rodney was thinking I played football. I'm gonna muscle him under the basket and get buckets.

He said the turned his back at the 3 point line and couldn't push Dale past the free throw line so he settled for a fadeaway jumper that got smashed. :mjlol:

He said it was the last time he touched the ball. Dale beat him with straight jumpers and talked shyt the whole time. Step back 3's. Crossovers. The whole repertoire.

Rodney was like, how come you can't do that shyt in the game. :dwillhuh:

Dale said, cuz I don't play you every night. :sas2:

I saw first hand what a NBA bum can do to regular people....its not even close. I watched Royal Ivey give everybody in ATL run and shoot the business. Dude shots barely touched the rim.

I didn't know who he was but know dudes were saying he was a pro. I go home thinking Royal Ivey got next, he the coldest dude I ever played against. I look this nikka up and he's a straight up scrub averaging 2-3 points a game. :wtf:

So if that lame nikka looks like an all-star against regular people, imagine what a real all-star can do. Anybody saying they can hang with NBA players sound like LaVar Ball claiming he can beat Jordan.....stupid.
