Hov wants to respond too. Hov's ego is too big and cocky to allow someone like Kendrick Lamarr to claim the crown. Nas is the same way. It was insulting but Im not sure if they will diss him or respond although I know they want too!!!

The most you can expect is a subliminal. They aren't going to elevate Kendrick insane NY Crown claims.

You can tell who's a clown just by their stupid posts.
Dude took like 2 or 3 bars to specifically mention and give props
to Jigga, Nas, Andre 3k AND Em.
HE WAS NOT CHALLENGING THEM.
He specifically mentioned a lot of rappers
who have gained traction in the past couple years.

Hov and Nas are too old for this shyt, they're from an entirely different era. It's no point in lowering themselves to a level of cats they could father. It's like a son tryna one up they daddy, you just laugh and pat his head.

I completely disagree. Both Nas and Jay-z are still pushing music , therefore they have adapted themselves to this new era of hiphop. Jay and Nas have both slightly comforted to the new school(Maybe Hov has done so more), but they are still competing for top spot. They may respond or may not respond, but it is insulting to these legends, who have solidified their spot as kings of NY. For Kendrick to crown himself as such, has to slightly affect them ( I mean look at Diddy's and Busta's reaction). Sad thing is soon these little dumb fukks from this new generation will believe this and will forget who really paved the way!!!!!!

asking nas when the last time nikkas was listening like this. she half expected him to be like "me 12 years ago!".

You could see she kinda wanted to push him in that direction but he kept dodging, lol.

He said I'm a listener. Expect some jabs at the little guy on his next album.

It kinda feels like he wants to respond in a rap....

:lupe:

This will happen. Maybe not the jabs, but Nas will touch on this subject in a song.

Lol Jay gon throw sumthin.....and Jay and Nas got it worst than everybody else on the song if u think about it,he acknowledged both them nikkas as 2 of the best right now besides him,but still called himself the king of NY anyway:laff:...so its not like he was just speakin of the new crop of NY nikkas that ain't shyt,he's talkin about Nas and Jay included.

Sparking blunts in the shade.
I remember seeing an interview with Nas, a long time ago, with him saying he'd never put his name behind any kind of liquor. Guess he'd rather break his morals, than have his bank account broken.

I'm not one to comment on how young Nas looks but GODDAMN he looked like he was straight out of the It Was Written cover. That was 96:damn:

As per the interview. You can tell Nas isn't falling into the bullshyt lol. He straight up told her "Ask Him":birdman: like if you want the real, go straight to the source bytch...

He knew what he was doing, but it's like no one realizes the line in the context of the fukking song. He's like I'm machiavelli i'm the king of new york. what he was trying to say was, he's the embodiment of pac and BIG. do you listen to music or do you just skin through it? obviously he knew what the repercussions would be and probably wanted the attention, but still. he's a lame for the bait tactic that seems contrived. it's not steel sharpens steel so much as "look at me, i want attention".

Nas has given Kendrick props on many occasions. Just recently in the Vibe cover interview he said he would've been honored to be on Sing About Me/I'm Dying Of Thirst
I read that interview too. The interviewer brought up the Kendrick question not Nas so what was he supposed to say? I'm not trying to slight Kendrick, I'm just speaking on what I've observed whenever he speaks on things relating to the newer generation.
