You know I see your point but I think Bron is really good at this busines thing. Going back in Cleveland and winning a title there and going to the Finals every year while basically being the coach and the GM lol has solidified him at a level I think would not have been possible in many cities. The level of control he has has really made him bigger than basketball imo, as well as being even more involved in local community. I think it's a calculated "loss" but that pays big dividends for his brand. I mean no one cares about Gilbert or the Cavs as an organization if not for Lebron, which is not the case in a lot of destinations imo (Miami is Riley, Knicks Lakers Spurs Rockets Celtics Bulls all have history before him and/or iconic people in coaching/management, and we know he ain't going to Minny or Sacramento lol).
What I'm saying I guess is that he IS the Cavs, regardless of Gilbert.
