Sprint is a toxic brand name, but still has more customers than T-Mobile by a noticeable amount (millions). I would think its to appeal to the FCC that says "look we arent even keeping the name Sprint which is in 3rd place, we will make this seem like its not that big of a deal by taking over the 4th largest in the market, T-Mobile name" or something like that you know how these mafukkas be havin loop holes n shyt
That would be like Comcast buying Time Warner and saying look we're gonna call everything Time Warner and abandon the Comcast name. That's not gonna fool anybody the company is still gonna be Comcast and everything it was combined with Time Warner and everything it was. It doesn't really matter what they call it.
As for subscribers they're only a few million apart. T-Mobile would have likely passed them by this time next year as Sprint keeps losing subscribers and the last update had T-Mobile adding 2.4 million.

hilarious... but if t-mobile has a $50 plan with unlimited data i would be happy bout that...
