I like Drake as much as the next guy, but this streaming stuff is suspect to me. It's nebulous and intangible. If a guy sells 500,000 pure sales and someone sells a million off streaming, I'm gonna give more credit to the former than the latter. Buying a CD actually takes effort.

side note. Hip hop community should be the last ones complaining about counting streams. Hip hop is most affected by pirating and has the most to gain by counting streams. Think about what would have happened if they didn't make this change. Eventually the majority of hip hop artists fanbase would have been discounted. record labels wouldn't even look at hip hop as profitable
