ADR was a moron for thinking things would go differently than last time though. He got 2 years of decent booking (for WWE standards) when he started, wasn't able to get as over as they hoped and then crowd never cared about him again. Came back and booking made sure dude didn't even had a shot at convincing fans he was worth a damn, and the roster is filled with younger guys that will carry the company for the next 5 years so there's less spots for him to take. He's very good in the ring but I could care less for the guy to be honest.

Next night on Raw was the fatal-4-way for number one contender, and he got a monster pop as well and put on a clinic. But he was a heel and his pops fizzled out, then the LON happened and Roman buried him; then the Kalisto shyt happened and it's been downhill ever since

Nah, I think Vince truly respects people who reach for that brass ring. But I also think he has a very specific (read: warped) idea of what that entails, which is an almost "dog eat dog"-like mentality. Like it's not just about working hard(er), it's about being willing to climb over the back of the man ahead of you, and then kick him down some more, to do so. From all the stories about his beef with the original Sin Cara, we all know ADR is that kind of guy.
