According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince McMahon “blew a gasket” last night at WWE Monday Night RAW in Minneapolis due to the crowd’s response during Brock Lesnar’s segment with Paul Heyman.

Heyman tried to get the audience behind Goldberg, but fans chanted “Goldberg sucks” in support of the hometown favorite Brock Lesnar. Brian Alvarez also mentioned that this was not how the segment was supposed to end, and apparently Vince “pulled the plug” in the middle of Heyman’s promo

Brock Lesnar is the second most famous person from Minnesota ever. This idea was beyond dumb.

This is what people who are mad at crowds for ruining the product don't get. You can't just wake up and decide to completely alter the perception of thousands of people just because it fits a narrative. The BEST you can do is nudge it in a slightly different direction.

Brock Lesnar is one of the most popular athletes on the planet. Goldberg is an old wrestler who hasn't been relevant for 12 years. In what world are people in his home state going to boo Brock Lesnar? How many people in that audience are lifelong Brock fans who are getting to see him live for the first time and forked over that money JUST to cheer him?

You really come together to formulate a plan for a show and just think "Yeah, we'll have them chanting for Goldberg!"

And some of ya'll want to get mad at fans for it?

Minneapolis "What'd" the Undertaker during his promo a few years ago. We've become one of THOSE crowds unfortunately.

Brock getting the majority of the love wasn't a shock but Goldberg getting shytted on seemed unnecessary, it was embarrassing to be in the arena
did you post a rundown of the show in the Raw thread? :leostare:

After that garbage long winded promo by Goldberg last week, he deserves that chant

Garbage? That was one of Goldberg's best promos that I've seen. And at least he can do his own promos unlike Mr. Snoozefest City who has someone else talk for him and still hasn't learned to perform a decent live promo in 15 years.

Curtis Axel was getting the reaction of his life last night being a local. What the hell did Vince expect :dahell:

Vince knew this too since he was confiscating Curtis Axel signs. :skip:

I've been saying this for a while, they choose to do things in certain cities that completely ruins any chance of getting a story, gimmick, or wrestler over. I know you the schedule for cities is made up far in advanced but they need to plan better when they will do something important.

I always heard that despite all the signs leading up to it, Vince was STILL shocked that Toronto cheered Hogan over the Rock.

Sometimes he just doesn't get it, which is odd.
