I always heard that despite all the signs leading up to it, Vince was STILL shocked that Toronto cheered Hogan over the Rock.

Sometimes he just doesn't get it, which is odd.

I don't think it's odd at all. That's Vince. A man with an ego that huge truly feels that we will all do what he wants when he wants us to do it. The one time he went against those instincts is when WCW had their foot on his neck. So unless you have his back against a wall, he will continue to think that his opinion reigns supreme and that he's the sole controller.

It's absolutely stupid to believe Brock would get sued in his hometown going up against a guy who hasn't been around for a decade. But again Vince wants to do what he wants to do rather than actually convince people to go along with it.

Also it's a difference in how raw is vs smackdown
