The follow up to the story is even worse. That guy had got drafted and everything before that dunk. The Knicks basically told dude not to even come back after that. We basically witnessed a murder on film. Took that man soul and career in one dunk.
Honestly this is the greatest in game dunk I've ever seen.
But that was some bullshyt what happened to Weis. How you gonna kill a man's career because of a failed charge attempt? What if he got out the way and didn't attempt to make a play on defense? What if he hard fouled/flagrant fouled him?

He went through alcoholism and depression because of his son's health issues. Dude's had all kinds of bad luck, looked he managed to get back a life according to that article though.
