Can't say there's such a thing as handpicking... like Trill said, it takes a lot more than just seeing someone and deciding it's GONNA be them, cause all kinds of sh*t can go wrong. I'd figure that star would at least already have to have something set in motion before it's decided he's gonna be the one. If Vince is actually sitting there looking for someone to handpick out of nowhere and "make" into the next top star, I see disaster ahead.

BUT with some, it's not like Vince had NOTHING to do with them being the top guys either. It's true that the crowds loved Austin and Rock, but without the pushes they got to begin with, they coulda just as easily been Jeff Jarrett and D-Lo Brown. Even with Austin, as over as he clearly was... so was RVD at one point. And without that decision to push him towards that top spot (which I think was prob. in motion for sure after the turn at WM 13), he coulda been the RVD of that time- over as fukk but midcarding for years.

RVD's situation was more because of the fact that he had no filter in interviews.

But this is true. Vince thinks this whole "Megastar" thing through in a completely backwards manner. He keeps trying to push these unover stiffs due to either model looks or freakish height most of the time, and when it doesn't work, he just keeps pushing until circumstances make him change course. Yet when the world damn near falls in his lap time and time again, the most recent example being this CM Punk thing, he feels the need to crush it because he has the emotional complexity of a five year old.

Of course, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, I'm just telling you why this shyt won't ever work.

Found him yet? :troll:

Reigns :troll:

Whether the fans like it or not, he is the next Cena and the next face of the company for 8-10 years. He'll beat Lesnar clean, Cena clean, maybe Rock clean, already beaten Rollins/Ambrose/Triple H/half of the roster; will win 15+ world titles (could have 4 by end of year), will win 3-4 Royal Rumble's, main event almost every Mania from 31 to 40, and be marketed as the main guy. Face it folks, it will happen, I like Reigns but all of this is too much :francis:

Also, this thread was posted in May 2012, so Vince was looking for his next star, yet 12 months later he has Cena beat Rock clean in WM main event to win the WWE title? :dahell: How is that creating another megastar? :shaq2:
