Can't tell the fans what to do. This is the first real "struggle" Roman has had and it's not gonna be enough to run a redemption angle and let's all love one another.
I really don't think Roman would end up in CDQ purgatory like ADR or Sheamus after a heel turn because people legitimately WANT to boo him, and you've gotta think he wants to address the elephant too. Dude has chops but not that clean cut Cena kind stop forcing it, let him off the leash a bit, fans will let the ghost of Daniel Bryan and its wrath go and he'd be the face of the company again within 18 months, if they let Roman and the fans have at one another for a few months.
the bulk of the audience left is the hardcore fans if you go by the ratings, they see thru things and Vince thinks it's 1998 and he has his finger on the pulse still.
Pushing agendas and trying to dictate who people should like/react to and how they should do it is exactly why a dummy like Trump has made it as far as he has in the presidential race if you think about it
