I always thought Vince was dope, but didn't dig his recent albums.

I'm glad he's making far more enjoyable and digestible music with these last 2 projects.
Facts. I can just play these straight through no issues. FM! was a nice balance from his old and experimental stuff, but I just couldn't get into BFT or Prima Donna

Vince realizing that the electronic/festival wave he was trending towards with the Big Fish Theory wasn't it, is refreshing for fans that have been following him since his early days.

His last 2 releases have been great.
I'm trying to remember what interview it was, but dude is on some Daryl Morey shyt. Talked about making those albums just to get him movie/game/commercial placements. Said he got a nice check for Army commercials and FIFA.

Found the interview, time stamped @GoldenGlove

Said 80% of the songs from Big Fish got synced to movies.

Said that what Call of Duty gave him for one song was more than the album budget:picard: Got paid even though they didn't use it.

He was doing these festivals for 2-3 years where it would be only one other hip hop act and he was stacking.

But then said he considered it was wasting years, just chasing the money.

I always love this type of shyt in retrospect because it makes me remember how posters would be acting like people who called the music out on those albums were tripping.

Now you hear the artist say, "Yea, I was making shyt for the bag"
:manny:
