That is not a song to dance to šŸ˜‚. You thinking too macro instead of realizing what the target demographic (Black youth) likes and relates too.

This ain’t a Africana Studies class, it’s music. It’s okay to admit he doesn’t make music that is easy to consume to the average listener. He has a cool niche audience.

Again, this is how I can easily tell you’re not Black and that’s the disconnect with the nuances (same way they get the interpretations wrong on Genius).

Same way you gotta remember that most of the people on here aren’t Black. It’s easy to tell and a reminder of why more Blacks need to document and commentate on our history and culture.

well can i get some nuance to how the opening post was humiliating & contemptuous to white people?

or can this not go further than the "cac c00n lololol " coli pastime?

I tried to explain but you stuck on what you think instead of what people who can relate to him are saying. Sometimes what he’s doing feel like the only real way you can fight back.

Some things just can’t be explained if you not from it and don’t get it.

you havent said much of anything... you immediately steered the convo into the coli cac c00n charade

but another setting where black people often find themselves isolated among white people are workplaces

if something like the op was pulled the perpetrator would likely alienate himself from the handful of black people there... but maybe thats your nuanced fubu get down lmao

have at it

I said alot and tried to explain but you showed you can’t relate.

Heck you think he’s playing so more power to Vince with the small victory amidst being surrounded by people you really can’t stand.

...he did tho.

most of that Big Fish album was clean. Nevermind 'nikka'; half of Big Fish Theory ain't even have cursing.
And what happened? nikkas told cuz he fell off and complained about the beats just for that tempo to end up pop right after.

He can't win for losing. So... he does what he can. Which is at least showcasing these people instead of letting them be out faceless in the crowd screaming the only words they know with they whole chest, and... the only words they know are the ones they have no business saying.

Better this than half these rappers that'll bring Trevor or Jacob or Lindsey on stage, have them singing all the lyrics, and then barely even check them for it. Or worse, treat them like they get a pass to say it because it's amusing. Least Vince consistent :hubie:
He did later admit he made that album with the specific purpose of making money off music placements. Video game trailer music basically lol

But that OFWGKTA is a blessing and a curse

It’s like the most loyal cult like fan base but it’s also mostly White youth lgbt type that’ll like anything associated with Tyler

Even earl had to distance himself from that following. Now he’s rapping over alchemist beats and doing alternate experimental rap
Nah I live in Brooklyn, believe me when I say them artsy weird white people LOVE Alchemist type shyt

shyt I've been to two Freddie Gibbs shows in the last 2 years and at both of them half the audience were white kids who weren't even alive when Alc and Madlib first got on.

This is one of them instances where if you’re Black you know exactly what he’s feeling and doing.

It’s certain vibes that only those from it can truly understanding it on some FUBU type ish.

If that was the case he’d have more Black people at his shows and played at Black functions in real life. It’s okay to be mainly internet with a majority YT fanbase. It is what it is.

Like you not hearing Vince do any HBCU homecoming concerts cus that’s not the music he makes.

Expecting a HBCU crowd to really resonate with hyper specific Long Beach themes in music is a stretch.

So my question is, why aren't the black fans supporting his shyt? As far as going to shows and shyt.
They do it's just way more white people, I was actually shocked at how many black people showed up to his Atlanta show, he didn't do any of this but that was partially because he was sick.

Nah you missing it. He really don’t like them and that’s how he really feelšŸ˜‚

You must be YT and not realize this how Black ppl thinkšŸ˜‚. Having a sea of YT people saying ā€œn!ggaā€ is terrible and that being your core fanbase is šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø. I couldn’t deal with it personally no lie.

100 percents facts.

I couldn't deal with it either...fukk that money.

We love our neighborhood, so all my brothers bang the hood
I never vote for presidents, the presidents that change the hood
Is dead and green, was standing on this mezzanine in Paris, France
Finna spaz 'cause most my homies never finna get this chance
All these white folks chanting when I asked 'em, "Where my nikkas at?" (Uh-huh)
Going crazy, got me going crazy, I can't get with that
Wonder if they know I know they won't go where we kick it at
Ho, this shyt ain't Gryffindor, we really killing, kicking doors (Hey)
Fight between my conscience and the skin that's on my body
Man, I need to fight the power, but I need that new Ferrari

He been let us know what time it is :francis:

This is a dope verse. I always say I wanna listen to him more and really give his albums a deep dive because I love his insight, but his music never grabs me. I'm gonna try again. Sometimes shyt gotta simmer to really cook right.
