I feel like Terrell Owens gets forgotten when it comes to talking about the very best players in NFL history.

Over the last 15 years we've heard nonstop how great Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are. And before that there was John Madden's insane weekly fellatio of Brett Favre.

But Terrell Owens is probably a top 3-4 WR of all-time. You could argue it's basically Moss, Rice and Owens. But he's rarely mentioned in any great football discussions.
And I get that he never strung along several 100-catch seasons. Maybe if he started his career 10 years later it might have been different.
T.O. is one of the GOAT's of his position. Only cacs forget about him. Not us Blacks.

Not many receivers do, Moss only had 2 seasons over 100 catches, Jerry Rice had 4, TO had 1. Different skillset for receivers who go over 100 receptions regularly, like Welker did. I completely agree with your point though, Owens doesn't get nearly enough respect. He's hands down one of the all time great receivers. Sadly his off field antics overshadow his greatness on the field, hopefully as time goes by he can be remembered and embraced as one of the GOAT receivers like he deserves to be.

Someone can correct me but I think in Jerry Rice's last game as a 49er, Owens caught like 20 passes.

What kind of savage shyt is that? You catch 20 passes in Rice's last game in San Fran?

:mjlol:

Well hell, the QB threw it to him :russ:
