What y'all put in your collard greens and in your cabbage?

Ehhhh can't speak for OP but it's more about the smell than taste. My mom's & most other people greens I had you really couldn't smell the vinegar that much. Now of course it's a greens smell but then there's a pure vinegar smell which is

I literally eat bowls of nothing but collard greens with vinegar and hot sauce for days after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
