It sounds suspect that he allegedly didn't use the self defense angle at the start.

Also, it's interesting that Virginia has this law:
On July 1, 2021 -- just more than a month after Smith's death -- Virginia passed a bill restricting the use of the so-called gay panic defense, in which a defendant accused of homicide could receive a lesser sentence by saying they panicked after finding out the victim's sexual orientation or gender identity. The judge in Etute's case ruled that the new legislation did not apply to this case, as it was enacted after the incident took place, though Turk argued it likely would not have altered the outcome of the trial.

Doesn’t sound suspect at all. Sounds like he was sexually assaulted without his consent and instead of having a mental health professional help him after being a victim of the assault, he was quickly questioned while under duress.

The fact that Virginia even tried to make a bill that doesn’t allow a victim to defend themselves when being raped by deception is just another agenda pushing bill. I’m glad very glad this young brotha got off. That man was a rapist and had done so to several other teammates and God knows who else.

When the story broke, locals talked about how dude was known for tricking guys like this, drugging people at the bar he worked at.

He was a piece of shyt.
Every instance of these trannies getting slumped is because of shyt like that or because they were scammers/prostitutes and it came with the game.
