The chattel slavery under the US government, calls for specific redress for African Americans, and not descendants of slaves across the new world. This redress, does not and should not include Jamaicans, Haitians, or any other Black West Indian or Latin descendent of slaves. If those aforementioned groups want reparations and have redress ideas for their ethic groups, then they should address that in their countries of origins with the European Powers that brought them over to those countries in the trans Atlantic slave trade. Her being a descendant of Jamaican slaves, doesn’t give her the credentials to speak on behalf of African Americans and their redress issues.
