Crazy how this game was announced three years ago, hopefully when the game comes out, it has a good creation suite.

Breh this is what people said about Fight Forever and then the Pikachu faced when it came out half baked. Let them cook and have a fully finished product.
This is why you don't announce projects like this....this may be a late generation game like 2025-26. This shouldn't even been announced to the public until late next year at the earliest.

i think pandemic really set them back, plus how they're doing the movesets/motion capture this was always gonna take a while

Indie developers do this all the time because theyre not held to a corporate time crunch and also dont always get the publicity to debut at conventions or award shows. They announced this game after the debacle that was WWE 2k20. It was the perfect time to announce it if were being honest. At that point they were still signing the core roster. Also as @Kidd Dibiase said, im sure the pandemic held this back a great deal

Right I get this but still people aren't trying to wait 5 or 6 years to play a game. The only time I think it's beneficial if there is some type crowdfunding aspect. But as y'all said their development cycle was probably hurt by the pandemic.
