Visiting Miami...need suggestions...is it worth it to not get a spot directly in South Beach?

Never been. Going with a group of 5 of us total to Miami next month. Is it better to get an Air BNB or get Hotels?
For the BNBs I'm seeing them mainly in Downtown(got some fire condos with good views) and Mid Beach?!? Dragged my feet on a spot in Mid Beach because it just looked too damn far from South Beach which is where I'm assuming all the attractions are. I'm offy about needing to hop in a cab anytime I want to hit the lit spots vs just walking out a hotel lobby and being in the mix.

At the same time the group is saying they want to stay together and potentially get a BNB

Trying to explain to them that it's probably like getting a BNB off the Vegas Strip. It's pointless, you'll be cabbing everywhere.

Is it worth it staying Downtown or Mid Beach vs directly in South Beach? Cabs a hassle?

Stay as close to south beach as possible


First time I went we stayed at the Marriot right on the beach and it was one of my favorite vacations ever. Stayed downtown the next time we visited and it was

If you coming to Miami for south beach…stay directly on south beach. Only thing is, shyt just gonna be pricey. But south beach not the place you need to come if you gonna be tripping on cost. You paying for the unique experience. You will be over it after you do it a few times though.

Im sitting on south beach blowing some gas as I type. Had to drop a mini bag on hotels smh. I’m staying at the Loews. This shyt wasn’t my idea though. My dumb ass cousin thought it was a good idea to throw my aunt a retirement party in Miami. Then I paid for my momma room. I don’t even like being on south beach like that. And I’m only here for 2 days out of five but had to pay for the room for the whole time

I always stay at Mid beach. Hit up Edition or if u need cheaper spot the AC across the street on Collins.

Mid beach let's u enjoy ur vacation and the beach with the ability to uber to south beach into the debauchery.

There's a reason locals stay as far away from south beach as possible

If you're tired of tourists dancing, all up in your IG video, come to Downtown and Wynwood

Wynwood: Racket, Freehold, Shots, Oasis, Dirty Rabbit, Pilo's, Coyo Taco

I never stay on horrible tourist trap south beaxh. I stay in Wynwood. Last time I was there I stayed in Overtown (ghetto as hell) but much better than tourist trapped south beach

First time I went to South Beach I seen an instagram model come out there in some lingerie with a photographer and take pictures. Thick little white broad, whew…

South Beach/Miami club scene is also wack now. Theres LIV and Story, Space if youre into electronic music. But Mansions, Grand Central, and a bunch of other cool clubs/live venue spots closed. Strip Club scene is wakk as fukk now as well.

if he never been tootsies and booby trap on the river will have his eyes fallout, but compared to back pre-pandemic yeah it's different, in a bad way. For value and freakiness I would hit Tootsies during the day and booby trap at night. G5 even still in business.
