Unfortunately the reality of the world. Reality is how many ppl, regardless of race & religion, would stand up against, say, their boss a work? Hip-hop is art & culture but it's also a business. So you'll have a buncha ppl there just to clock in & out, cash their checks & go home & talk about their problems at home. You'll have fake ppl, ppl who'll tuck their tail afraid of losing their jobs etc.

Ppl generally love to talk the talk but rarely do they walk the walk irl. So they'll just talk about it quietly. Ive witnessed this countless of times
at work. Even when the actual job is a simple 9-5 job that anyone can get. So imagine when you're a average college student with a buncha loans, mortage tryin to stand up & talk integrity against someone like Em who has one of the biggest machines ever behind him?

It's the same thing with Jay's NFL thing. Everybody thinking job, career, bills so all that "integrity" shyt moves out the way. Quickly. So even if they
think its wrong most wont say shyt about it.

Another ex: Remember when EVERY rapper spoke up in The Source when 'Zino leaked them tapes & how angry everybody sounded? How many of them are TODAY either signed to Em or just on his dikk defending those same situations (i.e. Crooked I)?

I'm just giving y'all some context as to why ppl, black or not, dont say shyt in situations like that.

The difference is Eminem wasn't a boss. He is a coworker in relation to artists in the industry. And in relation to work, I do agree with your overall point. Co-workers do dirt and they aren't publicly scolded for their actions. The bosses might reprimand them behind closed doors and other co-workers might pull them to the side, but when Johnny makes offensive comments or jokes, nothing happens because

1) You have people that are like "oh that's just Johnny being Johnny". Johnny's a provocateur at the expense of offending his co-workers, but it is brushed off.

2) Johnny is popular and while he is offensive, the people who find it offensive are in the minority. This is the most sad and unfortunate case.

They also said it was all jokes. They had some kinda session where it was like a racist segment and they was joking around.

Em is 1 of the good c@cs. We need more like him. Why can't yall see this :what:

neg for the obvious

there's a clip or article I saw with the D12 guys ACTUALLY saying that Em should say the word on a record. This was before the leaked old tape surfaced. He rolled with clowns.
Gonna look to find the article.

yes i remember this smh

middle column and the quote was from Royce, not D12 members

fukk eminem, his fans, and the black dudes who allow(ed) him to use slurs around them

*Vibe Magazine Sept 2000 page 184

The culture was fine before Eminem and would've been fine without him existing.

i agree. i dont kno what he introduced or brought to the culture

If there were worse, then why release the lightweight ones first? Why would they protect worse tapes and not just destroy them altogether leaving potential for damage to be done upon release?

this is all assumption because we dont kno how many tapes exsist. i have physically heard 3 so its possible ther was dozens.

This story didn't die and people weren't pressured. Those tapes were leaked and if I'm not mistaken copies were pressed and sold with the magazine:

The Source Digs Up Tape Of Eminem Using Racial Slurs

This was a hot topic that made its rounds. It eventually did die down like all hot topics do, but this was an issue. After the tapes, there was never any follow up.

people wer pressured because interscope sued benzino and the source

Even guys like Yelawolf refused to use the word, and he’s got a daughter that’s biracial. People hate this dude but he spoke truth in this interview.

yelawuf has been a huge trump supporter so fuk him and his crakkka ways

All of this on public record. Interscope concealing more Eminem race Tapes isn't. This is Vlad's word, which is definitely not gospel considering dude doesn't even know basic information about the artists he's interviewing. Any other day, Vlad's opinion or knowledge on anything would've been dismissed, but it's suddenly truth.

its not vlads word; its also mine.

chaos kid killed himself so we will never know how many tapes exsist or certain details but all i needed to hear i have heard already

someone leaked all 3 songs online and they wer on the internet for 10 whole seconds. the source CD only contained 2 snippets; foolish pride and so many styles

the other song i heard (as well as the complete version of so many styles) was a song where eminem listed every possible black stereotype consecutively

:mjtf:Em actually dropped the N bomb with the hard ER in a magazine? And he thought that was ok? :snoop:Yea he's buggin. Suge wanted to put hands on Em when those tapes leaked, he had a interview on a XXL mag

Suge: Don’t get me wrong, I support anyone who come together as a unit and make good music. But hip-hop supposed to be about ghetto politics, about the culture of the inner city. And you got a lot of these artists dissing on record—whether it’s ’Pac and Biggie, Jay-Z and Nas, 50 and Game. A lot of ’em talking about keeping it real, how they off the block and all that bullshyt. They’ll talk about every artist in the business and they mama. Except Eminem.

XXL: What’s your problem with Eminem?
This is a guy who as an artist comes out and says all Black women is nikka bytches and gold diggers. Now, I never had a problem with him before. When Eminem came out, I liked him. I thought he could rap, and I thought he was funny. He’s the “Weird Al” Yankovic of the day. But when you start saying Black women is nikka bytches and gold diggers, then I got a problem ’cause I got a mother, I got daughters.

Understood. And not to excuse Eminem, but haven’t you put out your share of records, Doggystyle, etc., that don’t exactly exalt Black women?
First of all, we paid the price for that with women’s groups and shyt. And it’s different. People can call themselves nikkas and bytches, but you cross a line when you start stereotyping a race. Eminem be making his money off Black people and Black culture, then turning ’round and degrading Black women. He’s a racist.
Y’all nikkas can’t be serious quoting suge to attack Em. This is the same clown that promoted gangbanging, set off and fueled a bi-coastal rap war that resulted in a lot of deaths including two rap legends , jerked many of his own artists not to mention what kind of treatment black folk received at the hands of Suge and his goons at Death Row. Suge was way more destructive to the black community than Em using the N-word could ever be.

If you wanna label Em a corny cac who should know better about using the N-word that’s fine, but if you genuinely believe a cac who rocked a flattop in his younger years, spoke and acted black, hanged with blacks and put them on when he got his break, etc, was living his whole life like a wigger as part of some grand conspiracy of his to dominate rap music while secretly being deeply racist towards blacks, then you probably need your head checked even more than deranged old Mathers does.

It's 2019 and yall still going at a white dude in a hoodie who minds his business.

Exactly. Eminem grew up getting his azz whooped by black dudes cuz he was white. Of course he was racist at one point. Nothing in his recent history would suggest he's still racist. Unlike Kid Rock, Marshall stays and continues to help the culture. And he doesn't have to. I respect him for being one of the illest lyricists in his prime.
Someone named after Drake

And a poster obsessed with penis sizes to the rescue.

All this doesn’t matter if he singled out an entire race all because his heart got broke by a black chick he was dating. You gonna give Em the benefit of the doubt cause he rocked flat tops and knew about his hip hop? I’m not gonna lie, I’ve used the N bomb plenty of times, but not once have I ever singled out a race like he has. I’m also not fully white like Em. Em has got too many passes, from dissing Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Mase and Michael Jackson. Hell even Nick Cannon is doing better things rather than push negativity like Em has. There’s a reason why Em stopped with the baggy clothing and using slang, it’s because he couldn’t fake the funk anymore.
