Yes 5k a month is high, especially in the mid 80s. That's like 10 times what the average rent was back then. And im sure he was paying a lot of other bills and other peoples rent and stuff.

Azie and Rich were millionaires but not multimillionaires and also they were extremely flashy. So they blew through money much faster.
