But he was fukkING LAZY. He just lacked a consistent work ethic.
Yeah it's interesting how the fact that he played himself into shape most years doesn't get brought up very much. He's an all-time great, obviously, it just makes me laugh a little bit whenever he burns some current player for lack of effort from his TNT perch.

Here, watch this clip from the 1998 WCF

Shaq goes to work against Utah while exclusively using post moves. Yeah, his strength helped, but dude was a demon in the low post.

That's nice and all but that offense :scust:

Was this before Kobe became Kobe or something?

Vlade is an idiot. How is a man not talented that could dribble like a guard, pass like a guard, had post moves on each side of the block and had one of the highest basketball IQs for a big man.

As far as Shaq being big that is half the story. Stanley Roberts was big as shyt and didn't dominate because he didn't have a high basketball lQ or the skill that Shaq had.

So Vlade can eat a dikk with his dumb ass.

Shaq actually had great touch in the paint, plus his post moves were only surpassed by the Admiral and Hakeem. Plus he became a better free throw shooter later in his career. Divac needs to take a seat, Boogie isn't more talented than Anthony Davis.

I agree with you. However David Robinson didn't have post moves. He was more like Chris Bosh in which he was a face to the basket player. Funny thing is David game Shaq fits because he could face the basket and dribble. David handles as a young Kat was as good as a point guard. Dude would dribble between his legs and dribble past Shaq and get in the paint. But his moves were useless against Hakeem because he was as small and agile as David.

Exactly. Stanley Roberts, Oliver Miller, Will Perdue and Jim Macklevan (sp?) were all strong. But them mothafukkas didn't do shyt cause they had no fukking skill.

Shaq was talented. he just couldnt shoot.

if he wasnt then he wouldnt be able to dominate players in the past that were strong or as big as he was.

Ben Wallace benched 460 :ooh: but he still couldn't score for shyt.

I think Shaq underplayed his potential a bit, but with that said, if he got the ball anywhere under the basket it was 2 points guaranteed.

Most dominant post player ever.
