Just like football, you want to be a hot team going in, not a well rested team imo. Dismantling teams you're supposed to is better for the psyche of the whole team. 4-0 against Portugal was great for them, but looking back they might be the weakest team in the group. A tie against America would be two in a row vs decent competition, then two easier games if all holds up at which point they'll run into Brazil. This game might be their last full-fledged test before that, it's time for them to show out.
