I thought all he did was miss a test.

For those that don't know. Missing a drug test in the NFL = automatic fail. Supposedly his appeal is based on the fact that circumstances are out of his control. They call you 24 hours before the test and tell you where to be. Even if you're on vacation in the middle of the outback you gotta find a place to take the test.

ESPN reports Broncos SLB Von Miller's suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy could be officially announced as early as Monday, and that he's facing "at least" a six-game ban.

It's safe to say Miller's appeal of what was expected to be a four-game ban didn't go well, and that his recent arrest for blowing off a court appearance on traffic charges hurt his cause. It's still unclear what triggered the suspension, but Miller reportedly tested positive for both marijuana and amphetamines as a rookie. It's possible he failed a test last year, as well. It's a massive blow for a team adjusting to life without Elvis Dumervil, and still uncertain about LE Derek Wolfe's (neck) Week 1 status. Champ Bailey (foot sprain) is also out indefinitely. Hopefully it's a wake-up call for Miller.
