Cyhi wrote Travis part on Sicko Mode and got screwed over on Publishing because he basically agreed to write it in exchange for a free Travis Scott verse but Scott didn’t honor his part of the deal.

Mostly agree but two things. The first you said already about the producing aspect.

the second is none of those first four were ever taken seriously as "MCs" or true rappers, but were producers/executives who rapped.

Dre was the OG of it but Kanye and Scott came through in the 21st century due to Ye getting himself in front of the mic and making himself marketable doing it.
