That's an excellent point.

Become a Poll Worker | U.S. Election Assistance Commission

I think I am going to volunteer this year and I'ma try to get some of the homies to do the same. Let's step up and allow the older generation to not put themselves at risk.

:salute:Key cities like Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Detroit... any heavy metro that Trump will try to suppress will have some polling stations for sure. It's just that most will be closed because of the Pandemic because no one is willing to risk health. This causes longer lines, and some are not willing to stay all night in line; even though if your in line before the deadline your vote is counted.

But I mean, for people who are expecting them to be open, the more there are, the easier it is for them to get their vote counted. It's going to be for the smaller cities and towns, where they have 3-5 polling places, and now its just one or nothing

Obviously though if we didn't have a pandemic this wouldn't be a problem. So stay healthy.

REMEMBER IN MANY IF NOT ALL STATES AND COUNTIES THAT IF YOU REQUEST A MAIL IN BALLOT YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE IN PERSON LATER/ON ELECTION DAY! Don't request one if you're not prepared to follow through. Even if they do give you a "provisional ballot" those more often end up not being counted or can be contested if elections are close.

the black cat is my crown...
I already voted as an absentee in June, they’re gonna send me another one for the main election or do I have to fill out that form again?
you don't have to fill out the form again if you checked off for both the primary and the general election.... do you remember if you checked off a request for both...?

I’m not exactly sure, all I know that it was for the primary.

If you're going to vote by mail, you NEED to send your ballot back before October 20th. Honestly you might want to make sure it's in the mail before then. Maybe October 14th or something. They are literally destroying the postal service in order to slow mail down, and if you're ballot doesn't arrive in time it does not count.

Honestly I think that if you can vote in person you should probably do so. Most of us are young or young-ish...wear your mask, socially distance, etc and you'll be fine. Not a bad idea to take the day off work. You got PTO, early October rolls around...request that November Tuesday off.
:manny:

Every time Trump accuses someone of anything, he's guilty of it. It's his excuse for his behavior. He's trying to rig this thing in his favor. There are factors that will make it hard for him - namely the fact that MI and PA have democrat governors and secretaries of state who will do all they can to protect this process. But in states like Florida and Georgia? There will be fukkery. It's August, quarantines are still largely in place...you don't have an excuse not to be checking and double checking your voter status and making sure you're ready to go. If you're gonna request a ballot, make sure you do it in a manner that ensures you'll receive it by the first week of October. And then like I said, turn that shyt in quickly.
