:myman: Checking in, not that I have a lot to vote for, Jim McGovern might as well be running unopposed again since his opponent is a talking piece of plywood. But there are some important ballot initiatives here, #1 especially, that I'm gonna vote yes on and of course vote Charlie Baker out.

:mjlol: MA hasn't had more than 4% of the vote go republican statewide since idiots elected Charlie Baker.

I know people like Charlie Baker, but he's basically the textbook definition of a neoliberal who runs republican because he believes in "small government" while making no tangible changes from Deval Patrick's policies and being mired in the same bureaucratic infighting. He's mostly accomplished and fought for very little, his bipartisan movement while admirable, ultimately has been just an addressing of minor issues while he refuses to actively fight for any significant overhauls to statewide systems to try and differentiate MA or set it's policy in a clear and cogent direction.:manny:

I don't hate the guy, I won't be furious if he wins, but I think Gonzalez has an actual drive and vision and like he's said, you should ask more of a governor than basic civility and common decency.

He's a pandering centrist that lets the wheels spin until he can pick a side.

Jay Gonzalez has really been digging in him regarding the T; and rightfully so. For example, the Commuter Rail stop in my town is ALWAYS late by at least 15 mins every day, and they bring out the small train and not the double decker which makes whoever didn't get on that train late as they'll have to wait for the next. It's bullshyt and someone needs to be accountable for it.

Plus Baker has been dragging his heels as hard as possible on weed dispensaries and I got friends in the industry just sitting around waiting basically just lighting money on fire because of it.:francis:
