who are all these great solo southern artists that are better than turk? who am I missing here?
i'm not understanding why is pimp c so far down the list...he should be ranked no where near Mike Jones...actually Mike Jones does not belong on any list at all...
what did these dudes do that was so great on the solo tip?
I actually moved big boi up a few spots off the strength of speakerboxxx. but the buck stops there.
pimp c had like one album and it didn't make much noise.
mike jones gets in off impact and dope hit singles. he had some big & important hits.

but yea, I stand by it.
I don't really look at either rapper as being nice with it so what it comes down to with them is that mike had way more impact than pimp's solo, and more hits. in fact, mike is one of the reasons why ugk is getting all-timer props all of a sudden.
people forget that aside from lil flip, mike jones was the other guy that helped usher in that texas run. if mike doesn't blow, neither does swishahouse, chamillionaire prolly doesn't get pushed, UGK's legacy doesn't get shoved down our throats, etc.
also, mike jones got his chit off on the closest thing that pimp c had to a relevant solo song.
mike jones belongs on this list. even if its at the bottom.

Maybe you shoulda cut it to 25 instead of 60. It seems like you basically named every southern artist just to complete the list. I wouldn't be able to do a top 60 hip hop artists of all time list, let alone a southern one
too many stones would've been left un-turned.
besides, theres artists that I felt obligated to include that didn't crack the top 50.
