Malone was still a very effective player and was putting up a double double every night until he got hurt. Through the first 21 games as a Laker he averaged 14.7 points on 51% shooting, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.2 steals.
That was a freak play where he got injured, he still had plenty in the tank and contenders the very next season like San Antonio were calling Malone until he retired officially the following spring in 2005.
Even with the bad knee, he played good defense on Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett in the postseason.

Even tho it sucks that they have an owner who pays no tax on his main business and he regards the Heat as a "hobby" and he should be payin the luxury tax, all of them have to take less in order to sign the right guys..It's a capped sport unfortunately.

them nikkas made the finals 4 yrs in a row...in the East their only real competition is the pacers....who theyve beaten 3 yrs n a row now....a few tweaks to their roster and they will be fine to face whatever team comes out of the west....

I don't understand Haslem taking less money. He turned down 28mil I'm Dallas to play for 12 mil and he didn't play much. Nobody gonna remember him. His bank account gonna remember the millions he gave away.
