Let's get our years straight.

Kobe in the 04 finals vs larry brown's pistons shot 38%.

Wade in the 05 ECF against brown's pistons shot 43.5. However some key points to keep in mind. Wade got hurt in the first half of game 5 and missed the second half and all of game 6. Game 7 playing with that bruised rib shot 35%. He was up and down in his 2nd ever playoff year against the defending conference champs.

Wade in the 06 ECF against flip saunders pistons shot 60% until he got sick before game 6 and didn't have a great shooting game.

You guys make the dumbest arguments to make a point. Really? You comparing how dudes played against CERTAIN teams. Pathetic:sitdown:
Same ol stupid debates about the some ol ish with the same niqqas.

Yea Im talkin about the same pistons team that went to the 05 finals who were down 3-2

Before wade was injured he had a terrible game 1 then dropped 40,36 and 28 and was shooting 52% from the field and was killin that team.Wade getting hurt prevented the heat from going to the finals in 05

Agreed, them vs the spurs would of been a hell of a series

I don't know where you got 72% from for games 2-3-4, here is his %'s for those games.

game 1 - 28%
game 2 - 53.6%
game 3 - 57%
game 4 - 45.5%
game 5 - 44% only played first half and a little bit of the 3rd period
game 6 - DNP
game 7 - 35% playing injured

Doesn't matter. Statement stands. No surprise to see you in here trying you best to minimize Kobe and put any and everybody over him. Your steez is solidified. Carry on.

In order to test hypotheses, it's common to control for as many variances as possible. So, by comparing performance to the same team in similar circumstances, it's the best controlled test available.

No it's not. This is sports. It's all about match ups. Some players perform better against certain teams than others. Teammates, coaching, make up of the team, health, etc. All those things come into play. All you did was isolate stats while ignoring everything else. Everyone with a brain knows that Kobe was just throwing up reckless shyt and not playing smart against the Pistons. But besides that, you're relying on a remarkably small sample size. Only one looking to produce a certain outcome would play with stats like that.

During that era Kobe was still a great slasher (pre-knee injury), a better shooter, and a better defender and overall offensive player than Wade by a pretty clear margin. Wade's game was entirely predicated off of getting to the basket and free throws and that mid-range J started to come around 05-06 years and then fell off.

If you combine parts of Wade's game from different parts of his career than maybe you will get a better basketball player than Kobe at his peak, but at no one point has his game been better than Kobe's. The only argument is 09 and then Kobe turned that all the way back up in the playoffs when it was needed.
