In my mind and for people like
@Easy-E, there is no “their” space and “our” space (which is what white people want us to believe and what they try to enforce).
All of it is gotdamn ours (black people). So there is no amount shyt that white people could do to make me want to retreat from what is already mine.
My issue with this
"our space" thinking is that it doesn't exist. And it says a lot you can pay taxes, be forced to follow laws in an area and concede that this is a "white people place." No, fukk you, this is my spot, too.
God bless Black Wall Street, but, it's gone. There's not many, if any black American
"spaces" where we aren't forced to outta lack of resources. Trust me, I'm from New Orleans--I know.
Too many posters on this site act like they have a secret many to some black Oasis in the hills, away from racist white people.
Look at all these West Coast, DMV and NY posters who love to act like racism is a down South thing. It's everywhere. There's no place to go.
Ya'll know (this to everyone) if Waffle House is racist and the people who supposed to address their racism are negligent, we can't run.
If we make a "black business," it'll be the same shyt.
That same "power" will still be over us.
We will be having to deal with a fukked up system if we just keep side stepping and running away.
Again,
I have no problem with "boycotting" Waffle House, but, that's not a solution. That's avoiding the problem.
