I've actually done it before during a Target PS5 drop as it was a different credit card than I normally use. It doesn't always ask you for your credit card, but sometimes whenever you're trying to spam the place order button.
Usually it spazzes out and doesn't go through so you can do it again, but he must have been one of the unlucky few that had it go through the first time

I got 2 but had to pay damn near $1500 for both..I did it because I knew this is exactly what would happen if I waited...it's gone be years before the majority of gamers get one..hell the PS4 been sold out..bad out here
