The Black Album is a classic. AG is borderline classic.

BP3 isnt a classic, but its a good album. Gets unfairly hated on this site.

Blackstar IS NOT fukkING with Watch the Throne in anyway. Nocturnal isnt either. If you wanna count OB4CL (a reach) the it is obviously.

ATLiens is debateable to me

Hell On Earth,
OB4CL,
Dah Shinin
The Infamous
Riding Dirty
Midnight Maurauders
ATLiens
Aquemini

only albums in the discussion. I'll take Watch the Throne over all except the first 4 i listed.

BP1 was dude's last undisputable classic, no?

BP2 was a good album.... but not a classic
TBA was a good album.... but not a classic
KC was probably dude's worst album. How do you rap for 20 years and then make your worst album.
AG was a good album.... but not a classic
BP3 was Euro trash and trend hopping garbage

Now I'm sure camel stans will throw a fit but even @Harry B knows the deal

Are we finally ready to acknowledge Jay's massive fall off?
You can't speak the truth on the coli, they gon think you weak :leostare:

He hasn't had a classic album since Reasonable Doubt. People overuse the word classic. The only solo rapper with more than one classic is Rakim imo. And KRS if you call his BDP stuff solo.

AG was a personal classic for me.....I think what made it so good was he had a theme and for most of the album he wasn't talking about himself.. He was talking about a fictional drug dealer which allowed him to step away and have much broader perspective..It took him back to what he does best "D'Evils" era commentary...

TBA can never be labeled a classic if listened to in the context of reality...If he really retired after it then maybe it could be in the discussion..But in hindsite it just sounds like a collection of whiny songs about how he was quitting and taking his ball home because people didn't love him enough (but he really didn't mean it)...It goes down as the biggest attention whoring move in the history of the culture...

Songs like "Encore" and "My 1st Song" no longer have any real meaning... It's just a collection of random noises...

How can you make "What More Can I Say"? Then continue saying more of the same sh1t for the next 15 years?

yeah, RD is the only classic for me. BP impact makes it a classic, and has classic tracks, but like most jay albums, a lot of filler and skippable tracks. to be fair, a lot of jays best isht aint even on his classics. VOL 1 has a lot of his best songs. but no one sees that as a classic album.

jays last great year was 2003. S.carter mixtape was excellent, and TBA had moments although its not a classic to me. i dont even like 99 Problems, that some white poeple music.

his post retirement music though is embarrasing. he seems unsure of himself. AG is not as god as people hying. he still aint abandoned the whisper flow completely.

give me 4 classic songs on AG?

The only song holding RD back from true classic status is "Ain't No nikka". BP1 is overrated as hell, "Jigga That nikka" & "Hola Hovito" :scusthov:

TBA & AG :ahh:
