Regal’s testimony about Benoit on the tribute show they did on him was really damning in retrospect:
No personal comments made about Benoit, not a tear shed. Kept it strictly professional about his skill and that was it. It’s almost like he knew, like he had a suspicion that it ended up being what it unfortunately was. If Regal might’ve had that feeling about the situation, you wonder who else might’ve and what the vibe backstage was.

It’s rumored that they found out while still filming and kept going because Raw was live and Smackdown taped on Tuesday

Basically if it wasn’t for WWE doing a wellness check because of weird texts two guys got it could have been like a week before somebody checked on them
