I don’t get the “so what, this is a business talk.” Certain organizations carry themselves a certain way, and that mentality permeates down to the coaches and players. Every team makes trades. But a properly run professional team knows how to handle people and situations in a professional manner. After telling Blake he was their franchise player and showing him his jersey in the rafters and saying he’d retire a Clipper and all that, the least they can do to treat him the right way is to let him know he is being moved before insiders and social media all finds out.
