Wait, hold up. Why isn't Jason Campbell a starter in the league this year?

I'm sure you've heard this before, but the NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league. Lately, Alex Smith put together a very solid season. So yes, he's better than Campbell. And 3 years younger.

What about the other 6 years of complete shyt? Campbell was having a pretty solid year last year until he got injured. Oakland was in playoff contention when he went down.

Also, Smith's td/int ratio was great last year. That was about it. If you watched the games you could see that he was terribly average at best. I can't take anyone seriously that thinks he is a good QB.

He's a decent enough QB. I watched a good amount of them last year. He played his role perfectly, and I think he could get better still.

Jason Campbell could probably start over Fez in NY and if I had to choose I'd take Campbell, but the marginal improvement at QB probably wouldn't be enough to make me feel comfortable at QB anyway, and that's the position Jason Campbell is in with the league. The improvement from any random QB to him isn't so wide that it's worth investing into him.

ShiiiiiTTTT

He a better option than what the Jets, Hawks, Rams, Dolphins, Titans, & Cardinals had last year.

Plus he's more talented than Alex Smith and Matty "Ice"(This mofo is crazy overrated)

The fukk you talking about?
No two players careers are more comparable than those two
Look em up

I don't compare careers. Why would I? Its a team sport and too many factors and moving parts are involved when gauging careers.

The only way you can compare careers is if they played for the exact same team under the exact same coaching staff.

The logical thing to do is compare the players and their respective skillset.

But I'm sure most of yall only catch sports center and let these so called analysts give you your opinion

I've watched him his entire career. It's a lot different when you watch a QB who is making the same mistakes he made as a rookie.

I don't know if he can be better, but he can put up better numbers. I agree there.

riiiight,

So despite what all these coaches and GM's think of Campbell, YOU are the one that seems to know everything

smh

Dude is average at best. Orton will NEVER be a starter in this league again barring any sort of injury to the starter. And Campbell is in the same boat.

Neither of them are that great, and their best football is behind them

Let it go, Campbell is garbage, and is not a starter in this league anymore.

SMH, I'm arguing with a dude that thinks Campbell is better than Matt Ryan...

the Same Matt Ryan that in only 4 years has career numbers >>>> than Campbell.
the Same Matt Ryan that had over 4000 yards last year with 29 tds and 12 int's

In fact Matt Ryan's rookie year was better than ANY season that Jason Campbell has EVER had. And he has only gotten better.

but meh, Fukkin CAC's keep blackballing these avg players :why:

Why would arizona give up on a Young Player like Skelton or give up on Kolb who is still younger than JC and had similar stats as him last year?

I don't get how you guys think that JC is this great player when in NO TIME in his career at ANY point has he shown to be anything more than average.

Shyt at least Kerry Collins and Carson Palmer have proved themselves in this league in order to receive their second chances

I love how white folks love to compare situations that are not comparable.

Just ignore the 4 OCs, 2 HCs, porous line and no running game in DC, but yet elevate the guy with a decent line the coach's backing HOF TE, star WR, star rookie WR, and a top notch ground and pound game.

Classic white boy logic.

When a white QB excels, he did it all on his lonesome. When a black QB fails, there are never any extenuating circumstances that may have contributed.

But hey, we live in color blind society right?

But prior to his second chance, he hadn't done anything lately so that theory does not hold water in that instance.
