Wait, hold up. Why isn't Jason Campbell a starter in the league this year?

Pretty much. Im a skins fan and I'll tell you JC aint winning you games, he is a game-manager at best he may not lose you alot of games but he aint goin to win you any either. Now is he better than some starting QBs well certainly but not any teams whose QBs arent young and teams who want to try out young QBs for their upside. There is no upside to JC, you already know what you're going to get from him, he's not going to win you any games and he'll try his best not to throw the game away and thats it, that is not the kind of QB any team wants to be a starter neither is looking for.

100% correct, he put up comparable stats to donovan mcnabb last year and we saw how long donovan lasted

hes in the same mold as a kyle orton, david garard, tyler thigpen, matt leinart etc and they are all backups

I know it doesnt make for as good a conspiracy theory as the op is trying to make up on the psuedo millitant angle this site is famous for but the real reason usually a equally medicore Qb gets the nod over a Campbell or whoever is their contract and/or how much a team gave up for that Qb and has to try to justify him to the owner to save their job..

Kolb will get every opportunity to suceed considering what they gave up and paid for him..its possibly the coaches and gm's ass if he doesnt make it so theyre gonna give him a longer leash then someone like Campbell..

Kolb is actually 28

he is better than the Minnesota and Cleveland QBs, but I get why those teams wouldnt sign him.

I dont think there is a conspiracy to hold him back tho. Dude just isnt a good QB, but there are some really bad QB situations in the NFL right now.

That's what I'm saying. I am not saying dude is an elite qb but he is better then a lot of NFL starters and deserves to be a starter somewhere. When in went to Oakland them nikkaz were terrible and he gave them some life.

slow down breh, he isnt. There is only one situation I think dude could play in, and maybe 3 places that he is better than the QB those teams have.

Campbell aint shyt, he isnt the QB you want to fight this battle for.

Breh, who's the last qb to succeed in DC since Mark Rypien? Minus the bum ass rookie and 2nd year qb's, he has a better or nearly the same career QB rating of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez, Matt Cassel, Eli Manning, and Jay Cutler. Not to mention he has played for the Raiders and Redskins, two of the most dysfunctional franchises in the league in the last decade. No telling what dude could do if he actually got with a solid organization.

So answer my question. Since Mark Rypien....who? And we gonna act like the Raiders didn't have 8 straight losing seasons before Campbell came to town. :wtf: And the Skins had losing seasons 4 out the 5 seasons before he came to town and gave them nikkaz two seasons at 9-7 and 8-8 as a rookie.

Who is the last QB to go to Washington or Oakland and beast? You don't think dude needs a shot to play with a decent team?

He didn't even beast, that's where you're confused. If that the case, he would still be with either team. :beli:

Well, unfortunately he didn't land in a better situation, and no team is gonna chance a starter that's been serviceable for a potential marginal upgrade in campbell.

There isn't a team in the league that isn't either A) set at qb already B) Has a very young QB with plenty of potential or upside

As mentioned the closest team he could probably start for would be arizona, and they've invested too much into kolb and believe in skelton.

My nikka was solid as hell for the Raiders and gave them their best seasons in years. They tryna black ball the kid?? All these bum ass quarterbacks in the league and he 2nd string? :what:

Bears offered good money

His thinking was why get paid vet min to fight for a job when the bears handed him a 4 milly check for 1 year plus with that line he should play a game or 2

Same thing Kyle orton did with cowboys

what does a team stand to gain by investing in a 31 year old Jason Campbell?

Teams would rather invest in long term solutions (and if you're not a long term solution you better give me a chance to win a Superbowl. Campbell doesn't offer that kind of hope).
