Because he has no real intentions of building a school in my opinion. Would you send your kids to Umars school? He's actively telling people Ritalin and Crystal Meth are the same thing. You have to question what kind of learning environment those kids are going to be in.I don't understand why Umar won't start from where he is now and build from there...its like he wants to be on some grand X-Men Academy looking shyt right off the bat.![]()
Right on.A teacher isn't a parent. Teachers just teach school shyt. All the shyt you are talking about... building character and teaching a kid how to navigate in the world.... is a parent's job. I dont want anybody, black or white, teaching my kids how the world works and how they have to maneuver. That's MY job. And if you have kids thats YOUR job. Not Conman Stripper Philanderer Umar
$2000 gets you the Conscious Package
The fukk Umar Johnson waiting for? unless....

Can someone please explain to me exactly who Dr. Umar is? I'm not from the states so I'm unfamiliar.
It appears he receives praise and ridicule in somewhat equal measures.
So the general gist is that he's trying to help the AA community but is meeting resistance due to beliefs that don't necessarily align with the majority of AA folks. He's a "clinical psychologist" that made his name through lectures and the hidden colors documentary series. If you type his name on YouTube you can find a lot of his stuff. He's a pan Africanist who has been trying to raise money for an all black boys school the past few years. the school in theory sounds good but Umar has turned a lot of people off with some of his beliefs, the whole school funding thing and most recently the conscious stripper scandal. It seems like last year was when he started catching more heat with people questioning if he even has a doctorate among other things.

At least he's trying to help, doctorate or no doctorate![]()
Strength from within is the only way. Reliance on others simply is not enough.AA should think like him if they want to see the next century. We on this everyone has our back bs when it's not true. We gotta worry about ourselves and these outsiders trying to exploit us.
Ron Clark is legit and has been around for years, He is legit! My old lady is an educator and has been following him for the better part of a decade. Sometimes ya'll shouldn't let the color of peoples skin blind you to what is good in people.
I don't understand why people keep comparing what uhmar is doing to what this white guy or any other black private schools. Uhmar wants to be solely funded by blacks, so he can teach an african/black curriculum. He also wants to teach agriculture and technical skills not part of the normal curriculum that white funded schools don't do. He wants teach young black men in a way that no white person will, because they aren't black and don't have the same perspective.
Do I know if it will work? No. However, I hope it does. I don't want or need to shyt on these others schools but, Uhmar is trying to do something different and has different obstacles then these other schools.
He has got to convince his funders what his plans are in technical detail. Inundate them with information.
When I donated to Jason's black 7am I got constant emails about the progress of the money I donated. He had earned my trust to such an extant that I didn't even bothering reading the emails he sent.
The same with tariq. He gives you an actual tangible product at the end. You may not agree with him 100 but I've never had any doubt that any money input toward his project it would not materialise.
