So the general gist is that he's trying to help the AA community but is meeting resistance due to beliefs that don't necessarily align with the majority of AA folks.
At least he's trying to help, doctorate or no doctorate![]()
So a black man trying to raise funds for an African Centered school needs to follow the model from a white man?
Absolutely not:
Marcus Kline and Samori Camara are perfect examples of what Umar should model his school in terms of a business plan that he should follow.
I'm apart of a African Centered homeschooling network in South Florida.
Any white owned and operated school like the Ron Clark academy appear to be for the betterment of black people and education but only in a Eurocentric curriculum they see fit.
Thus continuing the pacify black people because he hires and enrolls so many people of color.
Its another form of white supremacy.
In regards to the Tariq video. In some cases what he is saying applies. But not in this one. His results speak for themselves. This is akin to saying blacks shouldn't play sports, enter drama club or dare I say it... play an instrument or choir. RA Academy is first and foremost about curriculum. During the beginning of the school year the students are not even allowed to talk unless working on a group project or being addressed by an instructor. Also what people fail to realize is that 99% of the staff there is black.
Dance to much? I can't stand behind that 100% that's black culture. Since the beginning of time it has been that way! In this case it is misdirected. It should be directed moreso at mainstream society, and hip hop in general... In the hood where people do little else but dance, party and bullshyt. He's off in this case.
He is meeting resistance from black people because we can see that he is a con artist. He wants black people to pay 5 million dollars in monthly installments for a school just on the faith of his word, even though he has proven he has no integrity. He has no staff, no plan or blue print, no curriculum, no brochure, no board of directors, etc. Nothing to show the public, who he demands money from, that this school will ever materialize. He has a shady character that engages with strippers who he refers to as maggots. He called the donation money in one of his interview "my money" and quickly corrected himself and said "community money."So the general gist is that he's trying to help the AA community but is meeting resistance due to beliefs that don't necessarily align with the majority of AA folks.

hustling desperate black mothers
Much obliged for the information breh breh. Shame that dude is a scam artist. I thought he could've started a legitimate movement.NO!!
Thats not it.
He is meeting most of his resistance because he has been raising money for his school for over 2 years and has NOTHING to show his supporters and people that have given him their hard earned money.
No progress, no blueprints just some action figures and speeches.
Whats worse is he acts like a CHILD when someone dares question him or asks him about the progress of the school.
I know too many people that are actually DOING WORK in the community then put faith in a snake oil salesmen Just because he is Afrikan Centered
He is LITERALLY Bernie Madoffing black folks and people are just standing by making excuses for him cause they WANT to believe.
Dude is no different than TD Jakes and Creflo Dollar.
y'all, this is actually a very good school.
