Folks got to stop acting like Budden wasn't bringing his own audience to the show to. Yes AK got a strong fan base but so does Joe. The reason the show worked so well is the combination of both of their fan bases and both of them say as much. Nothing AK has done has increased the popularity of the show. All the moments that have gone viral and blown up were Joe spazzing. Only thing AK has done that blew up was Vic Mensa going at him. And that's no hate on AK cause I love that the perspective he brings.

Also you're thinking too small time. Yes 200K is a lot of money for a few hours of work but why settle instead of seeing if there's more money out there to be made. If anything this gives Joe a chance to shop around and see just how much people are offering for a format that he's shown can work now. Why not maximize your value and if if you find that Complex's offer was really teh best that was out there then go back and accept their offer. That's smart business.

I know Joe Budden has his own audience, Budden is in my top 5 so you're talking to the wrong guy. I know this is really Joe's show that he came up with. That's why I'm saying you don't walk away from a million dollar idea, just deal with the short change now to build your brand for later. CTG was being paid peanuts at first until he re-upped. He chose to stick around and deal with the low ball, Now his name is so big he can get A-list tv money. Joe Budden being a house hold name is bigger than the 200k, and if he needs more money he can do other ventures with the extra time he has. He can write a book, do movies, ect., he's not limited in his options just because one partnership is low-balling him. See the bigger picture. Joe realizing his potential to be A-list (all hardcore Budden fans never thought this day would come) is bigger than being short-sighted about a contract. Plus he just had another child, 200k is better than 0.
